OCC 11 Recycled Fiber
OCC 11, also known as old corrugated containers (Grade 11), is a high-quality recycled fiber primarily sourced from used corrugated cardboard boxes. This grade of recycled fiber is widely used in the production of new paper products due to its strength, durability, and consistency.
OCC 11 is composed mainly of post-consumer waste, including cardboard boxes used in shipping, packaging, and retail industries. The fiber is collected, sorted, and processed to remove contaminants before being re-pulped and transformed into new paper products such as cardboard, linerboard, and other packaging materials. Its provenance is largely from commercial and industrial sources, where large volumes of corrugated cardboard are consistently used and recycled.
DLK (Double-Lined Kraft) Recycled Fiber
DLK, or Double-Lined Kraft, is a type of recycled fiber derived from the scrap and die-cut waste produced during the manufacturing of corrugated boxes. This high-quality recycled material is recognized for its strength, durability, and cleanliness, making it a preferred choice for the production of new corrugated packaging materials.
DLK is primarily sourced from pre-consumer waste generated in box manufacturing plants and other facilities involved in the production of corrugated materials. Because it comes directly from the manufacturing process, DLK has minimal contamination and high consistency, making it ideal for the production of strong, reliable corrugated products.
OCC 12 Recycled Fiber
OCC 12, also known as Double Sorted Old Corrugated Containers (DSOCC), is a premium recycled fibre. It is derived from used corrugated cardboard, similar to OCC 11, but undergoes an additional sorting process to remove more contaminants and ensure higher purity. This results in a cleaner, more consistent material that is highly sought after for the production of high quality paper products.
OCC 12 is primarily made from post-consumer cardboard boxes used in the transportation, packaging and retail sectors, collected from commercial and industrial sources. The additional sorting process makes OCC 12 ideal for the production of strong, durable paper products, such as linerboard and other packaging materials, with a reduced risk of contamination.
